ALROSA says August diamond sales amount to $257.6 mln
MOSCOW, Sep 7 (PRIME) -- Russian uncut diamond mining giant ALROSA sold rough diamonds worth $2.983 billion in August and polished diamonds worth $64.2 million, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
The company quoted Vice President Yury Okoyomov as saying that August is traditionally a month of low trade activity.
In January-August, the company sold a total of U.S. $3.047 billion worth of diamonds, including
rough diamonds worth $2.983 billion and polished diamonds worth $64.2 million.
